The Sutak of the lunar eclipse occurring on March 3 will start 9 hours earlier i.e. at 06:23 am and will last till the end of the eclipse. The total duration of this Sutak will be about 12 hours. Since this eclipse will be visible in India also, hence all its rules will be valid here. Eating or drinking anything is prohibited during the Sutak period. Even worship should not be done during this period. There is also a ban on sleeping and pregnant women leaving the house during the eclipse.
