Hathras, 3 March. A heart-wrenching road accident took place on Yamuna Expressway in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday morning, in which 6 people died on the spot and 9 others were seriously injured. The accident occurred near Milestone 141 under Sadabad Kotwali area. According to the police, a double-decker bus going from Delhi to Gorakhpur went out of control and hit the Eeco car traveling from behind.
The collision was so severe that most of the people traveling in the Eeco car were seriously injured, out of which 6 died on the spot. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Most of the dead are said to be residents of Dholpur and Agra areas of Rajasthan. People including family were traveling in the eco car, who were traveling on the occasion of Holi.
It is feared that the bus driver may have lost speed control due to the accident. As soon as information about the incident was received, police, administration and relief teams reached the spot. Traffic on Yamuna Expressway was affected for some time, which was later restored. Sadabad police have registered a case of accident and started investigation. In the investigation, negligence, over speeding and other technical aspects of the drivers of both the vehicles are being investigated.
