Here’s a look at the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index today based on percentage gains at close.
Bharat Electronics closed at ₹454.2, rising 2.1% during the session. The stock emerged as the top gainer among Nifty 50 constituents for the day.
Hindalco Industries ended at ₹940.5, registering a gain of 1.7% compared to the previous close.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries settled at ₹1,755.0, up 1.0% on March 2.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation closed at ₹281.5, advancing 0.6% during the trading session.
ITC finished at ₹314.7, posting a gain of 0.4% at market close.
Cipla ended the day at ₹1,351.0, up 0.2%.
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories closed at ₹1,288.1, gaining 0.1%.
JSW Steel settled at ₹1,265.7, rising 0.1% by the end of trading.
These were the only Nifty 50 stocks that closed in positive territory amid broad market declines driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affecting sentiment and crude oil prices. The remaining constituents ended lower.
