IND-W vs AUS-W: Australia women’s team captain Alyssa Healy made her last ODI match memorable and played a historic innings against India in Hobart. This match was not only the last ODI of his career, but he also bid farewell to it with a shower of records. Coming in as an opening batsman, Healy started aggressively and put pressure on the Indian bowlers from the beginning. Alyssa Healy made another record in this innings. She became the second fastest batsman to score 150 runs in women’s ODI cricket. He touched this figure in 95 balls. In this list, only New Zealand’s Sophie Devine is ahead of her, who scored 150 runs on 93 balls. Healy’s timing, cover drives and pull shots kept the crowd engrossed.
This match also broke an old record. The record for the highest individual innings in women’s ODI cricket against India is now in the name of Alyssa Healy. Earlier in 2006, England’s Claire Taylor had scored 156* against India. Healy left that record behind by scoring 158 runs and created history.
Alyssa Healy’s ODI career has been an example of consistency, aggression and making an impact in big matches. She made her ODI debut on 10 February 2010 against New Zealand women’s team at Adelaide Oval and played her final ODI almost 16 years later on 27 February 2026 against India women’s team at Bellerive Oval (Hobart). In this long journey, Healy scored 3777 runs in 126 ODI matches, which included 8 centuries and 19 half-centuries. An average of over 37 and strike rate above 100 clearly reflects his aggressive and modern batting style. Her multifaceted role as a wicketkeeper-batsman has led the Australian team to many decisive victories and placed her among the most influential players in women’s cricket.
Healy’s innings completely changed the course of the match towards Australia. Indian bowlers certainly tried, but it proved difficult to stop Healy, who had settled on the pitch. On the basis of captaincy innings, Australia made a strong score and controlled the match.
Ultimately, this last ODI of Alyssa Healy was not just an innings, but the end of an era. Records, captaincy responsibility and aggressive style – everything was seen together. This history created against India will remain recorded in the golden pages of women’s cricket for times to come.
