If you are looking for a "coolcation" getaway this summer a brand new train service is being launched linking three super trendy Scandi cities.
Scandinavia is a brilliant region to head if you're craving an interesting multi-destination holiday and handily a brand-new direct train is set to connect Sweden and Norway in time for the summer season.
Two services will run each day, and tickets start at just €14 (£12.20) and the inaugural journey has been set for June 15.
Courtesy of Swedish operator Snälltåget, the train will run daily - and in both directions, venturing along Sweden's beautiful, low-lying west coast.
The new train route is the perfect opportunity to explore the magic of the north and visit three super cool cities.
The route will run between Malmo in southern Sweden to Oslo in Norway via Gothenburg. Krogen, the operator's restaurant, will feature on all departing trains from Malmö.
The six-and-a-half-hour journey will allow passengers to reach Malmö, Gothenburg and Oslo on a direct route.
The northbound service will depart Malmö Centralstation at 6.38am and arrive in the Norwegian capital at 1.13pm, with southbound services departing at 2.48pm and arriving back in Malmö at 9.25pm.
The train will be calling at Lund, Helsingborg, Halmstad and Varberg, Trollhättan in Sweden and then to Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad in Norway.
While not stopping at Gothenburg's central station, travellers can easily board Västtrafik commuter trains from either Mölndal and Gamlestaden, which this service also passes through.
And if you're wanting to go further south into mainland Europe you'll be able to change in Malmö for connections to Copenhagen, Hamburg, and Berlin.
According to euronews tickets are available for up until October 28, and the starting rate is SEK 149, or around €14 (£12)
According toSimon Calder, the Independent's Travel Editor: "Tickets include two pieces of hand luggage and one smaller personal item. It is not, however, possible to bring a non-folding bicycle onto the train.
"Children and pets are welcome on aboard with one pet per passenger charged at SEK 29.80 (£2.40).
"On board, travellers in either direction will have access to the onboard restaurant, Krogen, which the rail company recommends booking a table at and pre-ordering a meal while purchasing a train ticket.
"While the menu for this route has yet to be announced, other journeys offer hot meals such as pasta with mushrooms, beef and potato gratin with lingonberries and overnight baked beef roast from 159 SEK (£13).
"Breakfast includes a bundle of cheese rolls, cinnamon buns, juice and hot drinks for SEK 99 (£8) when booked in advance."
Alongside its Malmö to Berlin night train, Snälltåget also runs an overnight service toAustria from Stockholm, Jämtland and Härjedalen in rural northern Sweden.
