In a recent rapid fire interview with NDTV, Imtiaz Ali was asked what the modern version of ‘Jab We Met’ would look like and who he would cast in the lead roles. He said, “At this age, I think Sharvari and Vedang can do these roles as they are very young and have the talent that makes them perfect for these roles.” Sharwari and Vedang are part of Imtiaz’s next film.

Accordingly, Sharwari may play the role of Vagh Geet and Vedang Raina may play the role of Aditya. The filmmaker has previously joked about the fictional future of his beloved characters. At the Expresso 2024 event organized by Indian Express, when Imtiaz was asked where Geet and Aditya would be today, he joked, “In a lawyer’s office for divorce.”

The filmmaker has also announced his next project. It will once again have music by Rahman. The title of the film is yet to be decided.
