Taking care of the pensioners and salary earners, the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to pay them first. Taking an important decision, the UP government ordered that the salary and pension for February 2026 should be released on 28 February 2026. According to the Finance Department, orders have been given to all DMs and all chief and senior treasury officers in this regard.

Finance department ordered

In the order issued by the Finance Department, it was said that in view of Holi holidays, the process of releasing salary and pension will be completed by the end of February. In the order issued by the Finance (Accounts) Section-1 of the Finance Department, it was said that due to the general holiday on March 1, 2026 and the public holiday of Holika Dahan on March 2, 2026, the regular date of salary payment was being affected. Keeping this in mind, the decision was taken with the approval of the Governor. In view of this, the salaries of all state employees, aided educational and technical educational institutions and urban local bodies and employees and pensioners receiving pension from treasuries should be released by February 28.

Decision taken regarding teachers’ salary

UP government ordered payment of salaries and honorarium before Holi in schools and offices to basic and secondary education. In view of Holi, an order in this regard has also been given by Director General of School Education Monica Rani on Wednesday.
