Cumin water is beneficial after delivery
Scientist and herbal medicine expert told that in India, women are given cumin water after delivery. It is believed that cumin is a great remedy for problems like weakness and anemia after delivery. The truth is, just one teaspoon of cumin provides about 18% of the iron required for the day. Many women drink cumin water for 2-3 days after periods, because it removes iron deficiency due to bleeding. This is traditional knowledge which people have been using for centuries, now science has also accepted it.
In 2014, Rogiyah Zair and his team published a clinical study in the journal ‘Complementary Therapies and Clinical Practices’ on the effects of the combination of cumin powder and curd. A total of 88 women with similar body weight were given 3 grams of cumin powder along with curd twice a day for 3 months, while the same number of women were given only curd. After three months, there was a significant increase in HDL (good cholesterol) of all the women in the group of women who consumed curd and cumin.
How to use cumin in food?
Instead of running after solutions to your problems, it is better to improve your eating habits, 99% of the problems will not arise. While frying vegetables and pulses, do not add cumin seeds in hot oil. Once the vegetables or pulses are cooked, grind cumin seeds and add them on top, this will increase the benefits.
