Riyadh: In view of the current situation in the Middle East, the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia has issued a warning to its citizens living there. The Indian Embassy present in Riyadh gave this information by issuing a special advisory on 28 February.

It has been said in the advisory that all Indian citizens living in Saudi should exercise utmost caution. Also, strictly follow the safety instructions issued by the local administration and Embassy. The Embassy said that the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and Consulate in Jeddah are currently functioning normally. If necessary, new instructions will be issued further. The Embassy has also issued 24-hour helpline numbers to contact in case of any emergency. These emergency numbers are: 00-966-11-4884697 (phone), 00-966-542126748 (Whatsapp only), 800 247 1234 (toll-free) and cw.riyadh@mea.gov.in (email). Officials have also appealed that NRIs should rely only on the information received from the official channels of the Embassy.
