Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the HPV vaccination campaign across the country for girls up to 14 years of age. Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel said that PM Modi has assured that the health and safe future of every daughter is the top priority of the nation.

Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel said that with the resolve of Healthy Women, Strong Families, Developed Nation, today the Prime Minister launched the HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer – the second most common cancer.



Under this initiative, work has been done to secure the future of 12 million girls up to 14 years of age across the country. For all these girls, the HPV vaccine is available completely free of cost at all government health centres, including Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Primary Health Centres, Community Health Centers and District Hospitals. The vaccination campaign will be carried out continuously from today for three months. Go to the nearest health center and get the HPV vaccine.

I heartily thank Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the women power of the country. Under this campaign, HPV vaccine will be provided free of cost to all 14 year old daughters across the country at all government health centres.


This initiative is a historic step towards protecting our adolescent girls from serious diseases like cervical cancer. Prime Minister Modi has assured every daughter of the country that her health and safe future is the top priority of the nation.

Bihar Government Minister Mangal Pandey said that today Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the HPV vaccination campaign across the country. This event took place in the presence of Jagat Prakash Nadda. I thank the Prime Minister and the Health Minister for starting this big campaign to protect the daughters of the country from cervical cancer.


MP Shambhavi Chaudhary said that this step is a decisive initiative towards giving a healthy and safe future to every daughter.



Expressing concern about women’s health, during the Question Hour in the Lok Sabha on February 7, we had drawn the government’s attention to the inclusion of the HPV vaccine to cervical cancer in the Universal Immunization Programme.


It is a matter of great joy and pride for us that today Prime Minister Modi has launched the National HPV Vaccination Campaign. Under this, there will be free vaccination for girls aged 9 to 14 years for the prevention of cervical cancer.
