The Government of India allows PF account holders to check their balance online. An internet connection, UAN number, and password are required. You can quickly check your PF balance through four main methods: the Umang app, the EPFO portal, an SMS to 7738299899, or a missed call to 9966044425.

Easy ways to check PF balance

• Go to the EPF passbook portal.


• Log in with your UAN number and password.


• Select Member ID and click on View Passbook to view your balance.

• Search EPFO and select Employee Centric Services


• Click on View Passbook and log in using UAN and OTP received on your registered mobile number.

SMS service

Send an SMS from your registered mobile number to 7738299899 EPFOHO UAN (for example, EPFOHO 100XXXXXXXXX. You can add the first three letters of your preferred language (for example, EPFOHO UAN HIN for Hindi)

Missed call service

Give a missed call from your registered mobile number to 9966044425. The call will automatically disconnect and you will receive an SMS with your PF balance and details.
