Box office report: The midweek box office has turned into a tight three-film face-off, with O’ Romeo, Assi and Do Deewane Seher Mein competing for audience footfall. At this stage, none of the three films has achieved blockbuster status. Yet O’ Romeo remains the clear front-runner in this box office battle. Scroll down to read the full report in detail!

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and headlined by Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the film’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 60.25 crore. Though the second-week numbers have softened compared to its opening momentum, the film continues to dominate weekday earnings. The worldwide collection of the film stands at Rs 94.45 crore.

Released during Valentine’s week, O’ Romeo opened strong with Rs 8.5 crore on Day 1 and jumped to Rs 12.65 crore on Day 2. By the end of its first week, it had amassed Rs 47.1 crore.

Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu’s socially driven courtroom drama Assiis witnessing a modest run. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film earned Rs 0.55 crore on its first Wednesday (Day 6). With a cumulative India collection of Rs 6.30 crore, the film has struggled to scale up despite its strong performances. The worldwide collection of the film is Rs 7.4 crore.

The cast includes Kani Kusruti, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Naseeruddin Shah. However, stiff competition and mixed word of mouth have slowed its pace.

Do Deewane Seher Mein box office collection

After opening with Rs 1.25 crore on Friday and peaking over the weekend at Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1.45 crore respectively, the film’s collections dropped sharply from Monday onwards.

On its first Wednesday, it minted Rs 0.40 crore, pushing its total India earnings to Rs 5.75 crore. The worldwide collection stands at Rs 6.75, as per Sacnilk.
