Tokyo/Lucknow, 25 February. After the Singapore tour, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Japan on Wednesday, where he was given a grand welcome in Tokyo. Lieutenant Governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian expatriate community greeted CM Yogi. This visit is the first visit of the Chief Minister to Japan as part of the two-nation tour, which is an important achievement reflecting the growing strategic and cultural ties between India and Japan. This is a two-day official visit of CM Yogi.


CM Yogi made a post on social media platform X and informed that ‘Aditya’ of the holy land of Lord Shri Ram salutes the innovative land of the rising sun. In another post, the CM said that today he had a meaningful and visionary meeting in Tokyo with Kazuki Shimizu, Managing Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Infrastructure Projects Business Unit of Mitsui & Co., and senior members of his team.


He further said that we invited Mitsui & Co. to make transformative investments in Uttar Pradesh in renewable energy, information and communication technology, semiconductor and data center sectors, which are in line with the rapid industrial expansion of the state. Cooperation in infrastructure projects, logistics networks and industrial investments to strengthen the development corridors of Uttar Pradesh and global supply chain integration were also discussed.


CM Yogi said in another ex-post that today he met Shigeki Tanabe, Senior Managing Executive Officer, Executive General Manager, Sales Management Division/Domestic Business Incharge of Konoike Transport Company Limited and his team in Tokyo. He said discussions were held to expand Konoike’s presence in Uttar Pradesh through logistics parks, warehousing and multimodal transportation infrastructure. The company was invited to explore opportunities in the field of medical device manufacturing by taking advantage of the dedicated freight corridor network and the Medical Devices Park at Yeida, which will further strengthen India-Japan industrial cooperation.
