The ‘This or That’ challenge was a fun activity involving Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar before the start of the IPL 2026 season. He was made the captain of the team before the start of the 2025 season and led the team to their first-ever Indian Premier League title.
In the ‘IPL Legends’ phase of the task, Rajat Patidar started by selecting the late spin wizard Shane Warne over Brendon McCullum. He further supported Warne while selecting against former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson.
But when he had to select between Warne and Michael Hussey, he went with Hussey. He again opted for the Australian great while selecting against the current India head coach Gautam Gambhir.
Finally, Patidar supported Chris Gayle over Hussey, former South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn, and Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar.

RCB Skipper Rajat Patidar Targets Successful IPL Title Defence
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru will begin the Indian Premier League 2026 season as the defending champions. The team had a phenomenal season in the 2025 IPL, displaying consistency from the very beginning. The RCB finished second in the league stage and continued their form in the playoffs as well. They beat the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 to secure a spot in the final.
In the final, Royal Challengers Bengaluru again faced Punjab Kings and defeated them by six runs in Ahmedabad. This was a historic victory for RCB, who had failed to win the title in the finals of the Indian Premier League in 2009, 2011, and 2016. After so many years of disappointment, they finally reached the finishing line and won their first IPL title in 2025.
Rajat Patidar scored 312 runs in 14 innings, with an average of 24.00 and a strike rate of 143.77, including two half-centuries.
On the whole, he has scored 1,111 runs in 42 matches, with an average of 30.86 and a strike rate of 154.30. His list of achievements includes one century and nine half-centuries.
With Royal Challengers Bengaluru looking to repeat last season’s success, Rajat Patidar will be looking to get his team off to a flying start and help them defend their title.
