Earlier this year, the Beckhams captured the world’s attention when Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of footballer Sir David Beckham and fashion designer Lady Victoria Beckham, made a major announcement on Instagram.

In a lengthy statement on the social media platform Brooklyn, 26, detailed a series of scathing allegations about his parents and growing up in the spotlight.

This included claims that his mother “hijacked” his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, at his wedding, and that Nicola had been “consistently disrespected” by his family.

Following his statement, the family, who have been in the public glare for over three decades, have faced intense scrutiny.

Now, several weeks on from Brooklyn’s announcement, rapperSnoop Dogghas weighed in on the matter. In an interview with Closer UK, Snoop, 54, who has known David for over 20 years, gave his opinion on the situation, explaining that the pair had spoken a lot about what it means to be dads.

He said: “We’ve spoken a lot about fatherhood, and we do our best – but no father is perfect. We all make mistakes, but there always has to be forgiveness."

The Drop It Like It's Hot hitmaker added that although he hasn’t spoken about the current situation with David, 50, as of yet, he believes tensions should be able to thaw eventually.

Snoop, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, said: “I think things can change for the better when there’s open dialogue and honesty. That’s what I’ve always encouraged with my kids: if you’ve got something to say, then tell me – even if it’s hard to hear.”

Snoop subsequently reflected on the difficulties of being a parent, and having to let children make their own decisions.

He said: “We have to let our kids choose their own paths – but parenting is just about showing up and your kids knowing you’re there for them, no matter what.”

Snoop isn’t the only individual to have commented on the inter-Beckham feud, with multiple experts and celebrities giving their two cents on the matter.

This includes long-time friend of the Beckhams, chef Gordon Ramsay, who said that Sir David and Lady Victoria are “good parents” and assured that time would heal their relationship with Beckham.

In an interview with The Sun, in which he commented on the Beckham matter, Gordon said that the “relationship with David and Brooklyn is very, very deep and I know how much David loves Brooklyn”.

He added: “I think it's only going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself. It's easy to get up on that roller coaster and get carried away, but it will come back.”
