Anirudh Ravichander recently spoke in detail about how artificial intelligence is changing the way music is created. The composer said the technology has grown very fast and has already started helping musicians in many ways. According to him, AI is not something to fear, but a powerful tool that depends on how creators choose to use it. He explained that the real value lies in using it with the right intention and creativity. For Anirudh, AI is still in its early stage, but it is clearly going to be a big part of the future of music.

Anirudh calls AI as the future

Speaking at the News18 Tamil Nadu Network Town Hall event, Anirudh gave a clear example of how he has already used AI in films. He revealed that while working on 'Vettaiyan', the team recreated the legendary voice of Malaysia Vasudevan using AI technology. He said the growth in just one year has been unbelievable. Today, he can sing a single line and make it sound like it is sung by many different female voices in different pitches. He called this only the beginning and added that, sooner or later, everyone in the industry will start using AI in some form.

From Creative Block to AI help

The composer also recalled a fun and honest moment from the time of 'Coolie' promotions. When he faced a creative block while composing the last few lines of a song, he turned to ChatGPT for ideas. He fed the situation into the AI and received multiple line options. One small idea from those suggestions helped him complete the song. He said every creator gets stuck at some point, but tools like AI now make it easier to move forward instead of overthinking and losing time.
