West Indies, batting first, scored 254 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and set Zimbabwe a target of 255 runs. Zimbabwe could only score 147 runs in the match and faced defeat by 107 runs. Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell batted brilliantly for West Indies in this match.

Hetmyer and Powell both scored fifties to help the West Indies reach 254. This marked the second-highest total in T20 World Cup history. Chasing a target of 255, Zimbabwe got off to a poor start, losing three wickets for 20 runs. This ended Zimbabwe's winning streak in this World Cup.
