  • 1/4 cup water (as needed)

  • 1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

  • 1 tsp finely chopped coriander

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying


How to make Crispy Semolina Rings


Crunchy semolina rings are a delicious snack that is well-loved. To prepare these, add semolina and curd in a big bowl and mix well. Add ginger-green chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, chaat masala, sesame seeds, coriander and salt.


Prepare a thick solution by adding little water as per requirement. Keep this mixture covered for 10-15 minutes, so that the semolina swells. When the mixture becomes a little hard and set, apply a little oil on your hands. Now take small portions, roll them and give them the shape of a donut or ring. Keep in mind that the rings should not be too thick, so that they get cooked well from inside while frying.

Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is well heated on medium flame, slowly drop the prepared rings into the oil. Fry them by turning them repeatedly until they become golden and crisp. Do not fry on very high flame, otherwise it may remain brown from outside and raw from inside.
