Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun: Gulab Jamun is such a sweet whose taste is very much liked by the people. The soft gulab jamuns soaked in juice melt as soon as you put them in your mouth. Actually, Gulab Jamun is prepared from Mawa. But these days people have started making Gulab Jamun from sweet potatoes also. To make gulab jamun from sweet potato, you will not even need mawa or khoya. These Gulab Jamuns are so tasty and soft that they melt in the mouth. These days, it is also the season of sweet potatoes, so you must prepare Gulab Jamun from sweet potatoes and eat it. Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun Recipe
First step- For this you have to take about 2 thick sweet potatoes, wash them, put them in water and boil them. Peel the sweet potatoes once they cool. Now mash it well with the help of a mortar and pestle. There should not be any kind of lump or kernel in sweet potato.


Second step- Mix half a bowl of milk powder in mashed sweet potatoes. Add 2 spoons of flour, 2 pinches of baking powder, cardamom powder and 2 spoons of desi ghee in it. Mix all the ingredients well and prepare a soft dough. If the dough seems tight then add some milk to it and knead it. Now cover it and keep it to set for 15 minutes.


Third Step- Now to make Gulab Jamun syrup, add 1 cup sugar and a little less than 1 cup water and cook while stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves. Grind some saffron and green cardamom and mix it in the syrup. This increases both the color and taste of the syrup.


Fourth Step- Make small balls like Gulab Jamun from the prepared sweet potato dough. Make all the gulab jamuns very smooth. Heat oil in a pan and keep the gas flame medium to low. Now fry as many Gulab Jamuns as you can fit in the pan at one go.


Fifth Step- Immediately put the fried gulab jamuns in the syrup. Similarly, prepare all the gulab jamuns and leave them in syrup for at least 1 hour. With this, the syrup will reach inside the gulab jamuns and the gulab jamuns will become very soft. Serve prepared sweet potato gulab jamuns.
