Superstar Shivarajkumar has completed 40 long years as a leading actor in the Kannada film industry . Social media posts and affectionate messages have been shared by fans, film stars and prominent members of the state. Among them, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah shared a warm and touching message. He praised his acting and said that he “has taken the glory of Kannada cinema to new heights.”
In his post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister shared a picture of the star. Along with it, he wrote in Kannada which loosely translates in English to, “Congratulations to the renowned actor Shivraj Kumar , the Hat-trick Hero, who has completed 4 successful decades in the Kannada film industry. During my free time, I have watched and enjoyed many of his movies.”
Films that shaped Kannada cinemaSiddaramaiah also spoke about Shivarajkumar’s impact on Kannada films. He named movies like ‘Ratha Sapthami’, ‘Janumada Jodi’, ‘Jodi Hakki’, and ‘Tagaru’. He said these films helped Kannada cinema grow bigger and stronger. He added, “Shivraj Kumar has taken the glory of Kannada cinema to new heights, and no one can match his acting prowess.”
The Chief Minister also praised Shivanna’s social work. He wrote, “Wishing that the divine blesses Shivananna, the darling of Kannadigas, who is engaged not only in the service of art but also in social service, with long life and good health.”
Shivarajkumar’s work frontShivarajkumar began his career as a child artist and went on to become a hero with the release of ‘Anand’ in 1986. Recently, he returned to work after cancer surgery in the US.
He will be next seen in the Ram Charan starrer sports drama ‘Peddi’. He will also be seen in alongside Rajnikanth in ‘Jailer 2’.
Additionally, he is working on ‘Uttarakaanda’ and ‘DAD’. He was last seen in the movie ‘45’.
