New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the last date for registration for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination. According to the notification, candidates must submit their applications by February 24, 2026. Those who have not yet registered are urged to do so before the deadline, as applications submitted after this date will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. The age limit for candidates is set between 21 and 32 years, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories as per government regulations.
Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the preliminary examination, main examination, interview, document verification, and medical examination.
The admit cards will be issued on the last working day of the week preceding the UPSC examination. Candidates must ensure they bring a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination hall.
Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) are required to pay a fee of ₹100. However, candidates with disabilities (PH/PWD) are exempt from the application fee.
To rectify any errors in the submitted applications for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2026 and the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) Examination 2026, a three-day 'Correction Window' will be opened. Registration at upsc.gov.in is set to close soon, with the final application date being February 24.
