Hi-tech skills to 1 lakh youth with IBM


The state government, in collaboration with IBM, aims to train 1 lakh youth in AI, cyber security and quantum computing in the next 3 to 5 years. This training will be in line with the needs of the industry, which will provide future-ready skills to the youth and strengthen the emerging tech workforce of the state.


The agreement was signed in the presence of Anna Paula, Senior Vice President, IBM, Sandeep Patel, Managing Director, IBM India and South Asia, Dr. Amith Singhi, Director and CTO, IBM Research India and Kishore Balaji during the AI ​​Impact Summit held in New Delhi.



South India’s first NIELIT campus in Amravati


Andhra Pradesh government has also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). Under this, NIELIT will establish its first campus of South India in Amravati.


NIELIT Deemed to be University, under the skill development wing of MeitY, will help make the state a major hub for quantum and AI education. Besides, work will also be done to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem in a skill-based manner. NIELIT Director General Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi was present on this occasion.
