Tamil star Ajith Kumar has been enjoying his break from acting, focusing on his racing stints. The actor is also set to mark his return to the silver screen with ‘AK64’. And if recent reports are to be believed, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will also be part of the film.
Mohanlal approached for powerful roleTentatively named ‘AK64’, the movie will be helmed by filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran. As per a report by Filmibeat, recent buzz says that Mohanlal has been approached to play a major role in AK 64. The role is said to be very strong and as important as Ajith Kumar’s character. Director Adhik Ravichandran and his team met the Malayalam superstar and shared the story with him. Mohanlal reportedly liked the script and also liked his character in the film. The team is planning to officially launch the film very soon.
No official confirmation yetOn the other hand, it is imperative to mention that no official confirmations have been made. The report states that the ‘Hridayapoorvam’ actor hasn’t signed the project yet as he is currently busy with multiple Malayalam projects. He has a tight schedule and has not given dates to ‘AK64’ so far. If he manages to adjust his dates, he may surely join the film. The team will make an official announcement only after he signs.
More about the filmSpeaking more about the project, the film is expected to have Sreeleela as the female lead. Music director Anirudh Ravichander is likely to compose the songs and background score.
