These organizations are driving large-scale social and economic impact by using AI in critical areas such as health, agriculture, education, climate change, financial inclusion, urban transportation and public services.

Systematic map of AI ecosystem made for the first time

This repository is the first organized mapping of India’s impact-based AI ecosystem. This clearly shows that Indian founders are creating solutions based on local needs, which also have relevance at the global level.

The analysis revealed that voice AI and local language interfaces are becoming the strongest medium to reach the underserved population. Also, many startups are launching ‘Made-in-India’ We are working on the foundation model, which is also strengthening technical self-reliance in the country.
