However, the company will remain in the joint venture with Froneri. Nestle’s ice cream market is worth about $1.3 billion. It comes with a total of six brands like Häagen-Dazs and Drumstick.

Nestle now wants to focus its attention on animal care, nutrition and food sector. The company’s Chief Executive Officer Philippe Navratil said, ‘We are focusing our portfolio on four businesses, which are led by our strongest brands. He described the ice cream business as profitable, but marginal. He says it has become a distraction compared to Nestlé’s bigger growth engines.
