New Delhi: The Indian women’s cricket team’s Australia tour is currently in full swing. The T20I series started on 15 February, where Team India defeated Australia in the first match and took a 1-0 lead. Now the second T20I of the series will be played on 19 February in Canberra (Manuka Oval) and the third on 21 February in Adelaide.
After the T20I, there is big news in the 3-match ODI series starting from February 24—young opener Pratika Raval has made a strong comeback in the team after four months!
Full story of comeback after injury:
– Pratika suffered a serious ankle (and knee) injury while fielding in the match against Bangladesh during the ICC Women’s World Cup in October 2025 last year.
Due to injury, she remained away from the field for a long time and completed rehabilitation at the BCCI Center of Excellence, Bengaluru.
– After being declared completely fit in the medical test, the Women’s Selection Committee has included her in the team for the ODI series against Australia.
– This series is part of a multi-format (T20I + ODI + Test) tour, where it is based on a points system. Pratika was already in the Test squad, but now she is making a comeback in ODI also soon.
Great record of Pratika Rawal:
– International debut: December 2024.
– So far in ODIs: 23 innings in 24 matches, 1110 runs at an average of 50+ (2 centuries and 7 half-centuries).
– Strong performance at the top order gives the team a stable start. He also played an inning of 122 runs in the World Cup.
