Carl Froch has challenged John Fury to step in the ring as the pair’s bitter row took a fresh turn. The latter tore into The Cobra during Tyson Fury’s press conference previewing his April showdown with Arslanbek Makhmudov.

John stormed around the arena trying to seek out Froch, who was acting as a pundit for the event. Within his rant, he accused the 48-year-old of ‘running like a b****’ and warned that he would ‘punch your f***ing head in’.

The rant clearly irritated Froch, who hit back, suggesting that the pair must now go head to head. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Froch said: “Big John Fury the fighting man. Put some respect on your name. Put some respect on your own name. Grow a set of knackers. You said you know you’re afraid of no man but God.

“So get yourself in the gym, get yourself throwing a few punches and start to feel good about yourself. Get on the Testo Charge by Zapply, exactly what I’m on, because that might give you a little bit of an edge.

“Well, it will give you an edge because it gives me a right good f***ing edge. And I’m swearing because now I’m getting up for it. Have a word with Mams Taylor and me and you can do it, we can do it.

“And I’ll be honest, I’ll take my time with you. I’ll pep you with a couple of jabs. I’ll hit you with a couple of right hands to the body. And when you fall on the floor, I’ll help you up because that’s what’ll happen. It’ll be embarrassing.

“You just embarrassed yourself there and you’ll embarrass yourself again. You need to stop doing it. Tyson Fury doesn’t need you and your big gobs***e mouth running around shouting and swearing, being a f***ing idiot in public.

“That’s enough about him. Big f***ing bully, that’s what he is. And it will come on top for him. And eventually he’ll say the wrong thing or he’ll approach the wrong person.

“If he came up that platform today, I’d have absolutely volleyed him back down the steps. Mark my words, I’d have volleyed him straight down the f***ing steps.

“Anyway, I’m not going to go on about it anymore. You can see I’m a little bit annoyed by the cheek of him. But all he’s doing is attention seeking and he’s getting more attention now. But yeah, f*** him anyway.”
