JEE Main 2026 Result Announcement: A significant update has been shared for those who participated in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially published the results for Paper 1, which is essential for admissions into BE and B.Tech programs. The results for Paper 2, which pertains to B.Arch and B.Planning, will be disclosed at a later date. Notably, twelve candidates achieved a perfect score, marking them as the top performers with an All India Rank (AIR 1) in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2026 Session 1. Out of all candidates who took the exam, an impressive 96.26% passed.
Participation Details:
In total, 1,304,653 candidates participated in the JEE Main 2026 Session 1, which was conducted from January 21 to 29, 2026. Out of 1,355,293 registered candidates, this figure includes individuals from various locations across India and international centers such as Kathmandu, Dubai, and Kuwait. The NTA confirmed that 96.26% of those who appeared successfully passed the examination.
12 Candidates Achieve 100th Percentile:
In the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 1, twelve candidates attained the 100th percentile, and the NTA has recognized all of them as AIR 1. Below is the list of these exceptional candidates along with their respective states:

Candidates can view their results by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in. To check your results, click on the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result link found in the Latest News section on the homepage. After the page loads, log in using your registration number and either your password or date of birth. Your result will be displayed on the screen, and you can download it from there.
Cutoff Predictions:
The NTA has yet to announce the cutoff for JEE Main 2026 Session 1. However, experts anticipate that the cutoff for general category candidates will range between the 93rd and 95th percentiles. For candidates in the EWS category, the expected cutoff is between 81 and 83, while for OBC candidates, it is projected to be between 78 and 80. SC candidates may see a cutoff between 62 and 64, and for ST candidates, it is expected to fall between 47 and 50 percentiles.
