This case is to the film Ata Pata Lapata released years ago, after which Rajpal is stuck in legal trouble.

Getting support from the industry

Many big stars have come out in support of Rajpal Yadav. Sonu Sood was the first to publicly appeal for help. After this, many celebrities including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, David Dhawan, Varun Dhawan and Anup Jalota extended their support.

However, his manager clarified that the amount to financial assistance cannot be disclosed as it is a family and personal matter.

Priyadarshan increased fees

Now the name of filmmaker Priyadarshan has also been added to this list. He not only cast Rajpal Yadav in his next film, but also made a special demand to the producers to increase his fees.

In a recent interview, Priyadarshan told that he has known Rajpal for 20 years. He first saw Rajpal in the film Jungle and was extremely impressed by his performance. After this, both of them worked together in many films including Maalamaal Weekly.

Priyadarshan told that for his new comedy film in which Pankaj Tripathi will also be seen, he made a special request to the production house ‘Jubilee Films’ that considering the current circumstances, Rajpal should be paid more than the fixed fee. The producers accepted this demand.

Interestingly, Rajpal Yadav will be seen in the role of villain in this film. Priyadarshan said that he was aware of Rajpal’s financial condition, so he tried to get him work at every possible opportunity, even pushing him for ad films. He said, “Rajpal is not only a great artist but also a very good person.”
