Lucknow. During the discussion of the motion of thanks in the Assembly on the Governor's address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in the last nine years, Uttar Pradesh has come a long journey from crime and chaos to discipline. He said that the state has moved from the culture of curfew to the rule of law, from disturbance to celebration, from problems to solutions and from distrust to confidence.
In his address, the Chief Minister laid out a detailed outline of Uttar Pradesh's achievements, policy changes and future plans. He said that today Uttar Pradesh has not become a state of fear, but of trust and development. This change is the result of not just administrative but also policy commitment and change in thinking.
The Chief Minister said that the Governor's address is an official document of the government's achievements and future plans. The behavior of the opposition on such an occasion was not appropriate. He also raised questions on the absence of the Leader of the Opposition and said that perhaps the opposition could not control its members. He said that political differences are natural in a democracy, but it is everyone's responsibility to maintain the dignity of constitutional institutions.
The Chief Minister said that the image of the state was not spoiled in a day. For years, due to crime and lawlessness, daughters felt unsafe and businessmen were forced to close their businesses. After 2017, the government adopted a “zero tolerance” policy towards crime. He said that now the rule of law has been established in the state and a fear-free environment has been created.
The Chief Minister said that due to the efforts of the double engine government, crores of people have come out of multidimensional poverty. He clarified that the benefits of the schemes will continue. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, permanent houses are being given to the poor. Under Ayushman Bharat scheme, health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh is available. Efforts are being made to provide benefits to the last person of the society through free ration, pension and social security schemes. He also mentioned the schemes running under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister said that police have been recruited on a large scale to strengthen law and order. There has also been a significant increase in the number of women police. Cyber police stations have been established in all the districts and cyber help desks have been started in every police station. The forensic investigation system has been strengthened so that crime can be investigated in a more scientific manner.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has now come out of the image of 'sick state'. The Economic Survey was presented in the House in a systematic manner for the first time, which is a sign of change in the direction of development. He said that now news related to investment, infrastructure and social welfare is becoming the new identity of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the journey of the last nine years has emerged as the trinity of Technology, Trust and Transformation i.e. Triple-T. This has increased confidence among the people that Uttar Pradesh can also give big results.
The Chief Minister said that religious and cultural places have developed in the state. Places like Ayodhya, Kashi, Mathura, Prayagraj are strengthening the economy along with faith. Raising questions on the policies of Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties, he said that earlier there was apprehension regarding religious events, whereas now events are being organized on a large scale. As an example, he mentioned the development of many religious places including the Ayodhya Ram temple.
The Chief Minister said that the image of the state has changed due to better law and order. Now people are traveling and doing business in the state without any fear. He said that investment has increased, employment opportunities have increased and people's confidence in social security schemes has been strengthened.
The Chief Minister said that a large number of members participated in the discussion on the Governor's address, which is an indication of the strength of democracy. He appreciated all the members for healthy debate and maintaining the dignity of the House.
