Tezzbuzz Desk – Rajkumar Hirani, famous for his sensitive and humor-filled storytelling style in Indian cinema, is once again in the news. The director of memorable films like ‘Munna Bhai’ and ‘3 Idiots’ is now not only working on the sequels of his superhit projects, but is also planning to make films through Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Brainstorming on sequel

Hirani has made a special place in the hearts of the audience through his blockbuster films Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK, Sanju and Dunki. Recently he has indicated that discussions are going on for the sequel of ‘Munna Bhai 3’ and ‘3 Idiots’. However, finding a satisfying and impactful ending for ‘Munna Bhai 3’ still remains a challenge.

Hirani believes that the legacy of these films is so strong that it would not be right to take any hasty decision. They want the next part to be equally powerful and memorable.

New beginning with AI

Apart from film sequels, Hirani is also excited about AI technology these days. He says that AI can prove to be a great tool, which can make the process of film production more economical and technically feasible.

They are planning to make a 4–5 minute short film through AI. According to him, this will be a medium of learning for him and also the beginning of a new experiment. However, he also admits that making a film based entirely on AI is not easy and it also takes a lot of hard work and time.

After this statement of Hirani, the debate has intensified on social media. Some people are considering it the direction of the future of cinema, while some believe that AI can affect the soul of traditional filmmaking.
