T20 World Cup 2026: America opens its winning account by defeating Netherlands

New Delhi: The US cricket team has finally won the T20 World Cup 2026 after two consecutive defeats. In this Group-A match, America strengthened its position by defeating Netherlands by a huge margin of 93 runs. This win is the biggest by any associate team in T20 World Cup history, whereas the previous record was held by Nepal, which defeated Hong Kong by 80 runs in 2014.

The match was organized by M.A. Chennai. Held at Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk). Batting first, America scored a huge score of 196 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. The Netherlands team failed to achieve this target and were reduced to 103 runs even before the 16th over.
