If you’re tuning in to the 2026 Winter Olympics, you may recognize Aerin Frankel, a goalie for Team USA’s women’s hockey team. But off the ice, Frankel is fond of icebergso to speak.
It was discovered that the Olympian is not just dedicated to her Olympic training. She’s also a Caesar salad superfan—so much so that she has an Instagram account dedicated to the Caesar salads she eats. If you follow @painbyromaineyou will see her dedication first-hand, though Frankel notes the account is “just a passion project.”
What makes a Caesar salad ideal? From Frankel’s (albeit to-the-point) reviews, we’re guesstimating that the expert prefers a moderate amount of cheese and a mix of proteins to add bite. We say this because she rated a particular Caesar salad with fried chicken and bacon a “12/10,” calling it “classic” and worth the $22 CAD price tag.
She’s taken a break from her Caesar endeavors since being in the Olympic Village, posting a larger variety of meals (pasta, pizza and gelato, naturally). But once she’s back from Milan, we’re expecting more Caesar salad content to follow. And it appears that Frankel is open to spotlight an array of Caesar-inspired dishes—she has even rated a Caesar hot dog loaded with fries.
We propose that Frankel tries some of our own Caesar recipes for the savory, classic forkful that she’ll more-than-likely be hankering for. The below mix of dishes are some of our (and our readers’) favorites.
