New Delhi: The magic of love is everywhere during Valentine’s Week. Couples are busy making each other feel special. There is a flood of romantic pictures and posts on social media. Meanwhile, a new study has revealed something about love that has forced many people to think. It is often said in films and stories that true love happens only once, while some people believe that a person can fall in deep love again and again. Now a research on this topic has presented its findings.

Research done in America

America’s famous Kinsey Institute conducted a comprehensive study on this topic. In this research, 10,036 single people aged 18 to 99 were asked how many times in their life they had fallen in deep and intense love. According to the report, on average people experience deep love about 2.05 times in their lifetime. This means that most people experience true and passionate love about twice in their lifetime. This statistic is shocking for those who believe that true love happens only once.

Some more surprising facts also emerged in the study. About 14 percent of people reported that they had never felt deep and passionate love. At the same time, 28 percent people said that they fell in true love only once. About 30 percent of people experienced deep love twice. 17 percent experienced intense love three times and 11 percent experienced intense love four or more times.

The research also found that there was not much difference in the experience of men and women. The answers of both were almost the same. However, some people reported falling in love more often as they grew older. This means that there is no fixed age for love. It can knock at any time, which is a ray of hope for those who believe that love is not possible after a certain age.

Romanticism and social pressure

The report also revealed that a large number of people consider themselves romantic. According to statistics, about 60 percent of single people consider themselves extremely romantic. Additionally, 73 percent believe that movies, TV and social media create expectations about relationships that are very different from real life. About 51 percent people said that today’s generation is under more pressure to find love than ever before. When a relationship does not live up to expectations, people start considering themselves a failure.
