Janaki Kirloskar
Electrical equipment manufacturer Kirloskar Electric has appointed Janaki Kirloskar as its chief executive officer.
Janaki joined the company in 2004 and worked there until 2016, gaining experience across manufacturing operations, business processes within the group, said the company in a stock exchange filing. She has also worked with Toyota dealership firm Ravindu Motors, supporting its mergers and acquisitions, it said.
Janaki is the daughter of Vijay R Kirloskar, the firm's executive chairman.
The firm’s whole-time director Sanjeev Kumar S’s term will end on February 13, 2026, according to the filing. He will continue as chief financial officer until March 31 this year.
The appointment comes as the company reported its December quarter results of FY26. Net profit rose to Rs 4 crore, up from Rs 60 lakh in the same quarter last year. Total income rose to Rs 155 crore from Rs 121 crore.
Total expenses climbed to Rs 143 crore from Rs 121 crore, driven by higher material costs. The company’s stock closed at Rs 97.5 on BSE on Wednesday.
In 2016, Janaki founded Kika Tableware, a premium crockery brand. She built the business from scratch, overseeing product development, brand positioning, vendor management and distribution until 2025, the filing added.
