Prayagraj. The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a new rule to make land transactions more transparent and secure. Now it will be mandatory to provide Aadhaar and PAN card for property registration. This means that no one can now easily get someone else’s land in their name, and breaking the rules will increase the possibility of legal action.
Identity of buyer and seller will be clear
Under the new rules, the identity of both the buyer and the seller included in the registry will be clear. It will also be necessary to link the mobile numbers of the witnesses with Aadhaar. This will make it difficult for any kind of forgery or tampering and will increase the credibility of the documents.
Weaknesses of the old system
Earlier people used to sell the property in the name of others by changing the documents without being the real owner of the land. Apart from this, many people used to buy land in the name of others to save income tax or hide black money. With the new system this will no longer be possible, because the seller will have to come forward himself and it will be mandatory to provide PAN card.
Identification with modern technology
Now thumb impressions alone will not be trusted. For the elderly or people with worn out fingerprints, identification will be ensured through iris scan. This will almost eliminate the possibility of fake registration.
benefit of this change
This change will not only make it difficult to create benami property, but will also reduce land frauds and revenue disputes. People will now find it easier to protect their rights and transactions will become more secure and transparent.
