National Testing Agency has released the exam date of NEET UG 2026. With which some new rules have also been brought.


National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification of NEET UG 2026 exam. This year NEET paper will be held on 3rd May and the last date to apply for it is 8th March. But this time NTA has implemented many new rules to make the application process more secure and transparent. Which includes Aadhaar based e-KYC, live photo capture and multi-level verification.


When is NEET UG exam?


For NEET paper, first of all find out its exam date, time and mode. Its paper will be conducted in different exam centers on Sunday, May 3. The paper time will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. If we talk about mode, it will be offline.


How to apply for NEET UG 2026?



  • For NEET UG 2026 exam, first of all you have to visit its official website. neet.nta.nic.in will go on.

  • Click on New Registration here.

  • After this fill all the necessary details.

  • After registration you will get user ID and password.

  • After this, login with user ID and password and fill all the information asked in the form.

  • Live photo capture is mandatory while applying.

  • After applying the candidate must deposit the form fee.

  • Finally take a print out of the form.


Why new rules and changes?


Regarding the implementation of new rules, NTA said that in the last year, complaints like duplicate registration, identity irregularities and copying were seen. After which, keeping all this in mind, this year the application process has been made more strict. Now the identity of the candidate will be verified at many levels, so that the paper is completely fair.


Aadhaar e-KYC mandatory


Aadhaar based e-KYC is mandatory from this year. Candidates must ensure that their Aadhar card is linked to the active mobile number. Verification will be done through OTP during the apply process. At least 80% of the live photo capture should be clearly visible. In case there is no webcam, the photo can be uploaded from the mobile camera by scanning the QR code.


Also, it is necessary to upload passport size photograph, scanned signature, address proof and other documents during application.


NEET UG 2026 exam will be held in 13 languages. Which includes Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Persian, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.



Also, let us tell you that on the basis of your score in NEET UG, you will be able to take entry in AYUSH course in many medical colleges. Which includes courses like MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BVSc & AH, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS.
