Lucknow. Janata Darshan is not only becoming a platform to listen to complaints but is also becoming a means of instilling hope in the lives of the needy. On Monday, when the story of two orphan children of Lakhimpur Kheri came before Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an example of administrative sensitivity and quick action was seen. As soon as the Chief Minister heard the ordeal of the children, he immediately instructed the district administration to provide all possible help, after which the entire machinery became active.
As soon as the Chief Minister's instructions were received, the Lakhimpur Kheri district administration took rapid steps. Even before both the children returned from public darshan, arrangements were made to restore their education. The school admission process was completed and the children were reconnected with studies. Along with this, financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand, food grains kit and CSR kit were also provided, so that the family could get immediate relief.
Giving information about the entire matter, District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal said that Shivanshu and Ajay Kumar of Saraswa village of Dhaurhara tehsil had become victims of a tragic accident in the year 2018. The mother died first in this accident, while the father died after 41 days during treatment. After the death of their parents, both the children faced a serious crisis of maintenance and education. His studies were also interrupted due to financial constraints.
On Monday, both the children along with their grandparents reached Janata Darshan and shared their problems directly with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Taking the matter seriously, the Chief Minister immediately directed the district administration to take necessary action.
DM Durga Shakti Nagpal said that both the children have applied under the sponsorship scheme and approval has been obtained from the competent level. Now Shivanshu and Ajay will get financial assistance of Rs 4,000 each per month. Along with this, the process of converting the eligible household ration card into Antyodaya card has also been started, so that the family can get regular food assistance.
Apart from this, action is also being taken to connect the children with other welfare schemes of the state government, so that they do not face any kind of problem in future.
Giving priority to education, Ajay Kumar has been admitted to class seven in the village school by the administration. The process of admission in class nine has been started for Shivanshu. The administration is trying to ensure that the education of both the children is not interrupted under any circumstances.
On the instructions of DM, Chief Development Officer Abhishek Kumar met the family at Vikas Bhawan. During this period, financial assistance of Rs 50 thousand was given to the family. Besides, flour, rice, pulses, oil, biscuits, turmeric, coriander, chilli, roasted gram, salt, matchsticks and potatoes were given in the food grains kit.
Under the CSR kit, children and families were also provided with water bottles, umbrellas, torches (with batteries) and mosquito nets. Children were given school bags, geometry boxes, school dresses, shoes, socks, sweaters and blankets. After this the family was safely taken to their home in a government vehicle.
