Tarn Taran. A soul-shattering incident took place on Monday in a law college in Usma village located in Tarn Taran, Punjab. A mad student shot dead his classmate inside the classroom and soon after shot himself with the same pistol. In this horrific incident, both of them died on the spot.

Details of the incident: Screaming in the classroom-
Other girl students were also present in the class at the time of the incident. According to eyewitnesses, accused Pransa Raj Singh (resident of village Maliyan) suddenly entered the classroom and shot Sandeep Kaur (20 years, resident of Naushehra Pannuan) in the head. After this he loaded the pistol again, placed it on his temple and pressed the trigger. As soon as the sound of bullets was heard, there was panic in the college campus and the girl students ran outside to save their lives.

Serious questions on security system-
This incident has exposed the security arrangements of the college administration:

Entry with weapon: The biggest question is how did a student reach inside the college and then into the classroom with a loaded pistol? Was there no checking at the main gate?

Management’s attitude: After the incident, the officers and employees of the college administration have fled from the spot, due to which questions are being raised on their role.

Police action and family’s lamentation-
As soon as the information was received, the police force reached the spot and sealed the entire college. The forensic team has collected evidence from the spot.

Post-mortem of the dead bodies: Police have taken both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.

Demand for justice: The family members of the deceased Sandeep Kaur have reached the college and are in bad condition, crying. The family has demanded strict action against the culprits and the negligent college management.
