Meerut. The increasing addiction to online games has once again proved fatal. After the incident of suicide of three sisters due to Korean game in Ghaziabad, UP, now a painful case to PUBG game has come to light from Meerut. A 22-year-old youth, who was playing PUBG on mobile till late night, suddenly got sick and died due to rupture of a brain vein.
Mohammad Kaif, son of property dealer Farooq, resident of Gularwali Gali, Khairnagar, was playing PUBG game on mobile with headphones on on Friday night. According to family members, Kaif suddenly fell down from the bed while playing a game at around 3 o’clock in the night. When the family came to know about this, he was immediately taken to the hospital.
On reaching the hospital, doctors told that Kaif’s blood pressure had crossed 300. When his condition became serious, he was referred to Delhi, where treatment continued for two days. Kaif died during treatment on Sunday morning. According to doctors, the cause of death was rupture of a brain vein due to excessive blood pressure.
Kaif was the only son of the family
There was chaos in the family after the death of the young man. Kaif’s brother-in-law Shahid told that he was the only son of the family. Due to this sudden incident, a mountain of sorrow has fallen on the entire family.
Used to play games on mobile all night long
Family members told that Kaif had become addicted to playing online games for the last four months. Earlier he used to make reels for social media. Father Farooq told that Kaif had become addicted to playing PUBG on mobile and often kept playing the game all night long. Despite explaining several times, he did not agree.
This incident once again points to the serious physical and mental dangers of online gaming addiction.
