Jaunpur. Indian cricket team’s star batsman Rinku Singh is soon going to make a new beginning in his life outside the field. His marriage with Priya Saroj, Samajwadi Party MP from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, is now going to take place in June 2026. Due to the busy schedule of international cricket, the wedding date changed several times, but now the family has finalized the date of June. According to family members, the decision to hold the marriage was taken only after the cricket season was over, so that Rinku Singh could get maximum time.

The engagement of both Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj took place on 8 June 2025 in Lucknow. This event remained in the headlines due to the presence of big names from political and sports world. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla, besides many MPs and MLAs participated in this program. After the engagement, the wedding date was initially fixed for 18 November 2025, but it had to be postponed due to the busy cricket schedule. After this, the option of February 2026 came up, but due to the T20 World Cup and then IPL being organized during that time, the plan had to be changed again.

According to Rinku Singh’s elder brother Sonu Singh, the final decision on where the wedding will take place will be taken soon. At present, Lucknow and Varanasi are being considered as possible destinations. After the wedding, a grand reception is likely to be organized in Aligarh, in which many well-known personalities from politics, cricket, film industry and social service are expected to attend.
