This is the fastest and most effective way to remove excess oil from the gravy vegetable. Add a large piece of ice to the vegetable curry and swirl it around for a few seconds. As soon as the oil comes in contact with the ice, it will start freezing and stick to the ice. Just be sure to take the ice out before it melts. This trick absorbs the oil without diluting the vegetable. Fridge Trick: You will get perfect gravy without any effort. If you have some time, then after cooling the vegetable at room temperature, keep it in the refrigerator for some time. When cooled, the oil or ghee will solidify on the top surface and form a hard layer. Now you can easily take out this accumulated grease with the help of a spoon. After this, heat the vegetable again and serve, both the taste and color will be wonderful. Bread Slice: Bread is not only used for breakfast but is also used to improve the vegetable. Lightly place a slice of bread on the oil floating above the vegetable. The bread acts like a sponge and absorbs excess oil instantly. Remove the bread as soon as it absorbs the oil. This method works quickly and the consistency of the vegetable is also maintained. Gram flour tadka: combo of taste and texture. If your gravy is thin and too much oil is visible in it, then roasted gram flour is a great solution. Dry roast some gram flour in a separate pan and add it to the vegetable. The gram flour will absorb the extra oil and also give a rich and thick texture to your gravy. This will further enhance the taste of the vegetable. Tissue paper trick for dry vegetables: Oil often accumulates at the bottom of dry vegetables like ladyfinger, potato or cabbage. In such a situation, take out the vegetable from the pan and spread it on kitchen tissue paper. The tissue paper will absorb the excess oil. If there is too much oil, place another tissue on top and press lightly. This will keep the vegetable crisp and light.
