If you're looking for the perfect holiday destination for a weekend away, look no further than this quaint spot. Located in Germany, this fairytale town is one that captivates its visitors.

One person posting to an Instagram account under the name of @isabella.aroundtheworld, says the town in Germany feels like it is "straight out of a fairytale." Beilstein is known for being so well preserved and today, it offers the chance to see a slice of history.

On a travel blog called Independent Travel Cats, one person wrote: "We sadly only had two days to explore this area, and we chose to stay in Beilstein, known as the 'Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle' because of its historic inaccessibility and beautiful setting."

If you decide to visit, you can take a walk along its cobblestone streets and admire its traditional half-timbered houses. Buildings in the town are decorated with flowers and vineyard vines creating a scenic look.

To get there, you'll need to fly to Stuttgart, and flights take just one hour and 40 minutes, costing just £44 in March with Eurowings. From here, it's just under 40 minutes to reach Beilstein.

One must-visit spot in the area is Burg Metterrich which is a stunning castle. Owned by the same family for over 60 years, it has become one of the region's popular destinations.

A visitor on Tripadvisor said: "It is one of the most beautiful spots at the mosel. It is a bit less known, but definitely worth a stop.

"Everybody will tell you to see the castle which is very nice. But you should have a look at the church too. Also the terrace in front of the church and the views are spectacular."
