Patna. Such stormy batting by Indian cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the final of ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026 has surprised the entire cricket world. On Friday, 6 February, in the title match played against England at Harare Sports Club in Harare, Vaibhav scored 175 runs in just 80 balls. His explosive innings included 15 fours and 15 sixes. England’s bowlers had no answer for him and the entire stadium became a witness to his batting.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the fastest century in the Under-19 World Cup final by scoring a century in just 55 balls. Not only this, it was also the second fastest century in the entire Under-19 World Cup history. He also broke the record for the highest individual score in the final and became the batsman to hit the most number of sixes in a single innings.


30 sixes and 439 runs…


Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bat spoke loudly in this entire tournament. He scored a total of 439 runs in 7 innings at an average of 62.71. During this period, Vaibhav hit a total of 30 sixes, due to which he became the batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of Under-19 World Cup. Vaibhav broke the records of Dewald Brewis of South Africa and Finn Allen of New Zealand. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has now become the third Indian batsman to score a century in the Under-19 World Cup final.


Before him, Unmukt Chand and Manjot Kalra had done this feat. By playing such a big innings at such a young age, Vaibhav not only gave strength to India but also showed a strong glimpse of the bright future of Indian cricket. In the final, his aggressive batting, fearless shots and continuous rain of sixes completely increased the excitement of the match.
