There have been reports of actor Rajpal Yadav surrendering in Tihar Jail at 4 pm on Thursday. There was an order of Delhi High Court, after which Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the jail authorities today. Delhi HC had rejected Rajpal Yadav’s application.

Delhi High Court had directed Rajpal Yadav to surrender at 4 pm on Wednesday, but he did not surrender on Wednesday. According to Tihar Jail sources, he surrendered on Thursday. The court had said- You had said that you are in Bombay, so you were given two days time to surrender. Now it doesn’t seem like there is any support left. There is no reason to show leniency

Let us tell you that in the application, a demand was made to extend the time to surrender before the jail authorities in the check bounce case. Rajpal Yadav was convicted in this in 2024. The sentence was pronounced. The bench of Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma said, ‘I had already rejected your application and given two days’ time to surrender.’

Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer said that if he gets one week’s time, he will make the payment. If the application is rejected, he will surrender. He has made arrangements of Rs 50 lakh. He has also given me the proof. He will bring money.

It is known that Rajpal Yadav had assured to pay a total of Rs 2.5 crore, which included installments of Rs 40 lakh and Rs 2.10 crore. But despite the stipulated time limit, no amount was deposited.

Talking about Rajpal Yadav’s work front, he will be seen in the films Bhoot Bangla and Welcome to the Jungle. Shooting of both the films is going on.
