The Kelly Clarkson Show will finish after its seventh season as the host chooses to step back to focus on her children and family life. Clarkson, who lost her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in 2025, the father of her two children, announced the decision on February 2, 2026, saying that leaving the daily grind felt necessary for this new chapter. Production will proceed for the current season, with final episodes scheduled to air this autumn, and a roster of guest hosts will fill in.

Clarkson thanked her team and viewers, stressing the meaningful experiences she shared with crew members in both Los Angeles and New York. “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she said, adding that the many memorable moments made the choice particularly difficult, but that this season will be her last as host.

Since its 2019 debut, the show became a daytime fixture with a mix of celebrity interviews, uplifting human-interest pieces and musical segments, notably the popular “Kellyoke” performances in which Clarkson covers contemporary hits. The program also produced special episodes that explored artists’ careers, such as the ‘Songs & Stories’ installments, and aired primetime specials featuring big-name guests including the Jonas Brothers, Gloria Estefan, Teddy Swims and Lizzo.

Across its run the show has earned 24 Daytime Emmys, including four straight wins for both outstanding daytime talk series and outstanding talk show host. NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, the series’ producer and distributor, lauded Clarkson’s warmth, humour and rapport with audiences, and credited showrunner Alex Duda for steering the programme through seven successful seasons.
