Under the new Baggage Rules, 2026, the duty-free allowance for personal belongings, especially gold and silver jewelry, has been increased. These rules came into effect on February 2, 2026. The government aims to simplify customs procedures, promote e-declarations, and provide faster clearance for passengers at airports and seaports. Female passengers: Up to 40 grams of jewelry duty-free
Other passengers: Up to 20 grams of jewelry duty-free
