New Trains Launched: Indian Railways has taken a major decision considering the increasing travel demand and the festive season. It has announced the launch of 20 new trains on various major routes across the country from February 1, 2026. The reason for launching the new trains is to reduce congestion and ensure confirmed seats for passengers.

These trains include Amrit Bharat Express, Vande Bharat, and some special passenger trains, making long-distance travel more comfortable and faster. According to railway officials, ticket booking has already started on the IRCTC website and mobile app. Therefore, passengers can book their seats in advance according to their route. People in these cities will benefit

This news is quite a relief for those planning to travel in February. The schedule and route plan of the new trains have been designed in such a way that major cities in the north, south, east, and west of the country are better connected than before. This will reduce long-distance travel time, lessen congestion, and increase the chances of getting a confirmed seat.

The Ministry of Railways has approved the operation of these trains under Trains At A Glance 2026. Special focus has been placed on affordable and fast trains like Amrit Bharat, so that the middle class and common passengers can directly benefit.

These are the routes on which the new trains will run:

Train Number 64033 Delhi – Shamli MEMU

This train will be beneficial for passengers who travel daily between Shamli and Delhi.

Pilibhit – Shahjahanpur Passenger

This train has been started to increase connectivity at the local level. Local travel will be easier with this daily passenger train.

Rajendra Nagar – New Delhi Amrit Bharat

This train has emerged as a great option for those who travel from Bihar to Delhi.

Sabarmati – Jodhpur Vande Bharat

The timings of the Vande Bharat train on this route have been changed from February 1st to provide more convenient timings for passengers. This will be a better option for fast and comfortable travel between Gujarat and Rajasthan.

Kamakhya – Rohtak Amrit Bharat

This weekly Amrit Bharat train connecting Northeast India to Haryana will be crucial for long-distance travelers. This train will strengthen direct and affordable connectivity between the two regions.

Sambalpur – Erode Special

The service of this special train has been extended for those traveling towards South India. The journey from Odisha to Tamil Nadu will now be easier and more direct, providing relief for long-distance travelers.

Puri – Rourkela Vande Bharat

This semi-high-speed Vande Bharat train is being introduced to connect major cities of Odisha. This will enable fast, comfortable, and time-saving travel within the state.

Dhule – Varanasi/Ayodhya

New trains are proposed from Dhule in Maharashtra to religious sites like Varanasi and Ayodhya. This will provide a direct and convenient rail service option for pilgrims.
