Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated ‘Uttar Pradesh Pharma Conclave 1.0’, a mega gathering of global investors and entrepreneurs in Lucknow. During this, he said, it is our effort to dedicate the country’s largest international airport – Noida International Airport to the nation this month with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Medical device park is being constructed rapidly in about 350 acres area adjacent to the airport.

He said that, currently a Center of Excellence in ‘MedTech’ is being developed at a cost of ₹1,200 crore. The state government is fully cooperating in this and the alumni of IIT Kanpur are also actively supporting. Nine years ago there were only one and a half expressways in Uttar Pradesh, whereas today about 55 percent of the expressways in the country are in Uttar Pradesh. International and interstate connectivity within the state is well established through four lane roads.

The Chief Minister further said, I thank all the companies who have signed MOUs on the occasion of this first Pharma Conclave. Expressing confidence in the pharma policy of Uttar Pradesh, he has trusted us to take forward the investment possibilities in the state. Today Uttar Pradesh has not emerged as a ‘sick’ state but as a ‘breakthrough’ in the country’s economy. Today the state is functioning as a ‘revenue surplus state’. Now there is no situation of ‘pick and choose’ and policy paralysis in Uttar Pradesh. Today the state has its own 34 sectoral policies. If any investor comes here, we are providing him all the necessary facilities through a single-window platform.

Also said, Uttar Pradesh is at number one in the country in de-regulation ranking. Uttar Pradesh is also the top achiever state in the country in ‘Ease of Doing Business’. Through de-criminalization, an easy and favorable environment has been provided to the industries by abolishing the criminal provisions present in 13 acts of the state. There is ‘Rule of Law’ in Uttar Pradesh today. No one is allowed to play with the law here. If a person looks at the law, the law explains it in his own language while remaining within its scope. This is today’s Uttar Pradesh.

In the field of MSME, with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has shown how local can be made global through ‘One District-One Product’. Uttar Pradesh’s ‘One District-One Product’ scheme is a powerful symbol of that journey. Before the year 2017, about 14,000 factories were operating in Uttar Pradesh. This number has increased to more than 30,000 in the last nine years. This clearly shows that the double engine government is taking forward the development of Uttar Pradesh at double speed.
