GeoBlackRock Investment Advisors Pvt Ltd has launched ‘GeoBlackRock Personalized Investment Advice’ in India. It is a digital investment advisory platform. The company claims that it wants to make Indians not just savers but sensible investors. JioBlackRock Investment Advisors Private Limited is a 50:50 joint venture company of Jio Financial Services and BlackRock.

On this occasion, Isha M. Ambani, Non-Executive Director of Jio Financial Services said that the financial strength of every Indian is important to take the country forward in the direction of ‘Developed India 2047’. JioBlackRock aims to transform India from a nation of savers to a nation of confident investors. He said that through Jio’s digital reach and BlackRock’s global investment experience, world-class investment advice will be delivered to the common people.

Under the new digital advisory service, investors can start investing with just ₹ 10,000. Investors will be given personalized investment plans as per their goals and risk appetite, which will be monitored through modern technology. Due to which suggestions for re-balancing will be received from time to time as per the market situation.

The price of this service has also been decided keeping in mind the common investors. The annual fee has been kept at ₹350, while Assets Under Advisory (AUA) above ₹1 lakh will attract an annual fee of 0.35%. The service will be provided free for the first three months. Until now, personalized investment advice has been limited to high-net-worth investors only because of the high costs involved and relationship-manager based models. This service is currently available on JioFinance app and will soon be launched on MyJio app as well.

Describing it as a new standard for investment advice in India, BlackRock COO Rob Goldstein said that Aladdin’s institutional-quality risk analytics and Jio’s digital reach will bring personalized investment advice to millions of Indians. Mark Pilgrim, CEO of GeoBlackRock Investment Advisors, said that India has made great progress in financial inclusion and now the next step is wealth inclusion.
